The PL 500 is a VTOL drone (vertical takeoff and landing), designed and manufactured entirely in Spain, optimized for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations. Equipped with computer vision and embedded artificial intelligence processing, the system is capable of detecting, recognizing and following objectives in real time, offering a battery life of up to 4 hours under demanding operating conditions.
The presentation generated great interest among professionals, institutional representatives and companies in the sector. During the event, the FAS stand was visited by prominent personalities, such as the Councillor for University, Research and Innovation of the Junta de Andalucía, José Carlos Gómez Villamandos, the CEO of TRADE Andalucía, Antonio Castro, and Antonio Romero, founding partner of Sherry Ventures.
They were joined by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Armed Forces and technological bodies from different countries, consolidating PL 500 as one of the most striking novelties of the fair.
The FAS team offered live technical presentations, exhibiting both the interior and exterior of the system, and shared their road map in the field of defense, underlining their commitment to national development and autonomous innovation.
