Aware of the importance of training highly qualified professionals, at Gridflight we have developed a complete theoretical and practical training for drone pilots, taught in different locations this time in the province of Cáceres.

Over the past few weeks, we have had the opportunity to work with students from Trujillo, Valencia de Alcántara and Arroyo de la Luz, training new pilots in the A1/A3 , A2 and STS certifications, essential to operate within the framework of current European regulations.

The importance of solid drone training

The correct operation of drones requires much more than knowing how to fly equipment.

It is necessary to understand regulations, know meteorological factors, understand air safety and be able to make responsible decisions during each mission.

At Gridflight, we are committed to comprehensive training that combines:

  • Theoretical knowledge (online format, although first class in person): legislation, procedures, maintenance and safety.

  • Real flight practices: simulated scenarios that prepare pilots for real situations.

This approach ensures that students not only obtain their certification, but are also prepared to face the challenges of the professional sector.

Courses taught: from beginners to advanced operations

During this edition, we have taught three levels of certification, adapted to the needs of each student and to the requirements of the European EASA regulations.

A1/A3 — The first step to operating drones

Ideal for beginners and recreational flights in open areas, this course allows you to start safely and responsibly.

A2 — More complex operations

Aimed at those who want to fly closer to people and in controlled urban environments.

Pilots acquire advanced knowledge that allows them to expand their work possibilities.

STS — Standard scenarios for professionals

Focused on complex professional operations, this course enables you to work in sectors such as emergencies, technical inspections or surveillance.

It is the certification that opens the door to high-level projects.

A formation present in three key locations

With the objective of bringing training closer to different areas of the province, this program was developed in three strategic municipalities:

  • Trujillo: venue for the theoretical and first practical flight sessions.

  • Valencia de Alcántara: ideal setting for open-field training, allowing students to put what they have learned into practice.

  • Arroyo de la Luz: closing the training with advanced exercises and simulations that recreate real operations.

This decentralized strategy allows us to train pilots in different communities, encouraging the responsible use of technology and the growth of the sector in rural and urban areas.

Impact on the region and opportunities for the future

The development of this program not only benefits students, but it also promotes technological innovation in Cáceres and strengthens the drone ecosystem in Extremadura.

Each pilot trained is one more step towards a future where these tools will play a key role in different sectors.

Upcoming courses: become a drone pilot
